JRM Construction Management worked on a 348,200 SF, LEED Gold commercial renovation of the 7-story office building at 125 West End Avenue for Taconic Partners. The building has been redeveloped as a Life Science building used for research, laboratory, and office uses. The core and shell project included replacement and upgrades to the base building infrastructure, envelope, and interiors. The building features new amenity spaces throughout including a rooftop area.
The project scope included a new lobby with modified slab elevation, removal of existing facade and installation of new unitized curtain wall, demo and replacement of core bathrooms, upgraded elevator lobbies, removal and relocation of stair towers, new freight car shafts, elevator
modernization, along with loading dock and delivery services upgrades.
Additionally, JRM has repurposed an existing vehicular helix ramp that traverses all floors of the building as well as performing extensive MEPS infrastructure upgrades to the risers, cooling towers, and electrical distribution.
